CARL FROCH delivered a brutal assessment of Amir Khan as he declared his British compatriot is ‘only good for getting knocked out’.
The Cobra also urged the 35-year-old to hang up the gloves following his knockout defeat to rival Kell Brook in February.
Khan was in attendance to watch Conor Benn blast away South Africa’s Chris van Heerden in Manchester on Saturday night in the second round.
Benn, 25, delivered yet another highlight-reel knockout to extend his perfect record to 21-0.
The Destroyer was joined by Khan inside the ring following his scintillating stoppage where the two were asked about a potential fight.
But Khan shied away from the challenge, with Froch then criticising the chin of the 2004 Olympic silver medallist as he discussed a future opponent for Benn.

Speaking on DAZN, Froch said: “I like the Kell Brook fight.
“You mentioned the Amir Khan fight but he’s only good for getting knocked out that kid; he needs to retire now.
“Amir Khan needs to turn it in. I’m just being straight, I’m being brutally honest.”
His comments stunned colleague Tony Bellew, who put his microphone to his head in despair as he then defended the two-time world champion.

He responded: “You can’t talk about people like that.”
To which an unmoved Froch added: “I think he knows he’s retiring. Kell Brook is a good fight.”
Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn ruled out his man facing Khan next, as he stated he should fight Brook to see who is the best British welterweight.
He remarked: “It won’t be Amir Khan next, he won’t be around until the end of the year.
“I’m talking Mikey Garcia, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Adrien Broner, David Avanesyan, we want a big fight.
“One name I didn’t mention was Kell Brook. I think that’s the perfect fight to establish who’s the best welterweight in Britain, and I think that’s this man right here.
“If Kell Brook wants to cash out, we tried to give him the cash out, he asked for £10million… that tells me he don’t want to fight, but we’ll see what happens.
“But this [Benn] is the future. This isn’t about a cash-out, this isn’t about one last roll of the dice, this is a young man who has four, five, six years at the elite end of the sport.”
