FLOYD MAYWEATHER’s reflexes are ‘FASTER’ than those possessed by his protege Gervonta Davis – despite being 17 years OLDER than the rising boxing star.
Mayweather, 44, retired from the sport for a third and final time in August 2017 after a TKO victory over former UFC star Conor McGregor but has continued to train.
Training partner J’Hon Ingram has seen first hand the work Money continues to put in at the gym, which has left him believing the boxing great can still mix it with fighters several years his junior.
He told Fight Hype: “It is faster than Tank’s I can tell you that right now. Tank’s is fast but still not as fast as Floyd.
“On their jab they might be equal but Floyd switches his jab up so much so Tank is still not as fast as Floyd.
“I did land on him, I had to throw combinations to land I couldn’t throw any single punches, honestly like four or five.
“His gameplan and his knowledge in the game is unbelievable, he was throwing things I have never seen before. His defence is amazing so I had to throw big punches to actually hit him.
“He definitely still lives up to his name. I was thinking because he is a little older now that I would be able to push him.”

Ingram claims Mayweather still moves and ‘punches’ like he did in the ‘Pretty Boy’ Floyd days.
He continued: “But he still moves like he is 20. He punches like he is still in his 20s. His awareness and reactions are still like he is in his 20s.
“Even if he took a real fight right now I don’t see anybody beating him, if you look at a lot of great fighters after they retired it’s a lot different to Floyd.
“He is still training and keeping his boxing IQ up.”
Former five-weight world champion Mayweather is currently gearing up for his second exhibition in eight months against YouTuber Money Kicks.
The lucrative bout will take place on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah in Dubai later this month.
And Dubai rich kid Money Kicks – real name Rashed Belasa – reckons he can score a shock victory over the Hall of Famer.
He said: “Mayweather is too fast – I need to be close and just go crazy on him! I won’t lie to myself.
“Entering the ring with him is an honour. I will try my best.
“You never know – any punch can land, and I have heavy hands. If he underestimates me? A punch can come. Anything can happen.
“I am much taller than him. I’m getting there. Every day I am learning. I am still young but I’m getting better and better.”
