MOHAMED SALAH may have scored a Goal of the Season contender after finishing a devastating counter-attack in the 3-1 win over West Ham.
The hosts were pushing for an equaliser after the Egyptian had already opened the scoring with a brilliant curling effort.
West Ham’s corner was headed into the path of Alexander-Arnold
He played a terrific pass towards Xherdan Shaqiri on the touchline
Jarrod Bowen’s corner was flicked away at the near post by Andy Robertson and Liverpool broke at frightening speed.
Trent Alexander-Arnold played a terrific sweeping pass across the pitch freeing Xherdan Shaqiri in acres of space.
The Swiss international then pulled off a moment of magic by hitting a first-time cross right into the path of Salah.
It was inch-perfect and the forward took one touch with his right foot before stabbing home with his left to put Liverpool in the driving seat.
It was a goal in the blink of an eye taking just 12 seconds from the corner for the ball to hit the back of the net.
Gary Neville said on Sky Sports’ commentary: “It’s an absolutely amazing goal.
“The quality of it. Shaqiri’s breaking down that left side, and he has got a pass in him.
“The pass is brilliant but this bit is really special. It’s devastating from Mo Salah. He’s won Liverpool this match with a really special finish.”

Replays even showed Jurgen Klopp in disbelief as he rested his hands on his head from the touchline.
And it summed up an excellent performance from the visitors who looked to have their mojo back.
Liverpool’s third wasn’t bad either when Georginio Wijnaldum finished a brilliantly worked goal.
Victory lifts the Reds back up to third, four points off Man City but they have played a game extra.
