WANTAWAY Tottenham striker Harry Kane has wished Dane Scarlett ‘best wishes’ with a signed shirt.
And some fans online think that the England captain’s gesture is hinting at an imminent move.
Kane, 27, starred in Spurs’ new kit launch this morning, sparking hopes in some that he could stay this summer.
But the nature of his message to Scarlett, 17, has others fretting that he is readying himself for an exit.
On the signed shirt, Kane included the message: “To Dane, Keep working hard mate! Best wishes.”
While it could simply be a nice message from a club icon to teenage hopeful, some fans think that ‘best wishes’ sounds a little formal to write to someone that you’ll be playing with next season.
One hypothesised: “Idk about anyone else but i would never use best wishes if i was seeing someone again soon.”
While another wrote: “Why do all these seem like he’s saying his goodbyes.”
A third stated: “He’s defo saying his goodbyes.”
Another added: “Kane is gone.”

Kane made Spurs’ fans nightmares come true last week, when he told Gary Neville that he’d holding ‘honest conversations’ with chairman Daniel Levy surrounding his future.
He also named Kevin De Bruyne as the Premier League player he’d most like to play with, amid interest from Manchester City – as well as Manchester United and Chelsea.
Kane picked up his third Premier League Golden Boot trophy after scoring his 23rd goal of the season in Spurs’ 4-2 win over Leicester yesterday.
He also topped the assist charts, laying on 14 this term.
Like Kane, Scarlett is a product of Spurs’ academy, and excited fans when he made his first-team debut earlier this season.
The highly-rated youngster scored an astonishing 17 goals in 16 games during the Under-18s Premier League season.
He also bagged three goals in five for Spurs’ Under-23s in the PL2, as well as a further five in three during the Lilywhites’ FA Youth Cup campaign.
His red-hot form was rewarded with his first taste of first-team action.
Scarlett made his senior debut during the 4-0 win over Ludogorets in November, replacing Lucas Moura with eight minutes remaining.
He appeared again in the Europa League late on against Wolfsberger, even assisting Carlos Vinicius during his nine minutes on the field.
Scarlett’s Premier League bow came against West Brom back in February, when he replaced Son Heung-min in stoppage time.
