TOTTENHAM are through to the semi-finals of the EFL Cup after an entertaining win over rivals West Ham.
Stephen Bergwijn – the forgotten man in North London – opened the scoring after being teed up by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
West Ham’s response was swift with Jared Bowen firing past Hugo Lloris after a terrific bit of skill.
But the Hammers switched off after their leveller and Lucas Moura put the hosts back infront before the break, with David Moyes’ side unable to force a leveller.
- Final score: Tottenham 2-1 West Ham

Conte faces his old club
Conte, who won the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea, faces the Blues in the semi-final.
The Italian spoke about facing his ex-club after tonight’s game: “It will be nice, good to play against Chelsea for me.
“I spent two amazing seasons with Chelsea and enjoyed a lot everything there.
“Now I am manager of Tottenham and I am ready to give everything for this club.”

The semi-final draw
The draw has been completed and of course, Spurs are in it.
Here it is then!
- Chelsea v Tottenham
- Arsenal v Liverpool
There’s no North London derby but a couple of excellent games lined up.
The semi-finals will be the week of 3 January, with the second legs a week later.
Moura dedicates goal to wife
A nice story for Lucas Moura tonight as he slid in Tottenham’s second goal of the evening past Areola and into the back of the net.
Moura dedicated his goal to his wife on their 5-year anniversary tomorrow.
This goal means a lot for me, for my wife, tomorrow we complete five years.

Liverpool equalised in the 95th minute and beat Leicester on penalties so they fill out the star-studded draw.
