Tuchel’s first job will be deciding his playing formation after Chelsea dropped to ninth with five defeats in eight games.
He was soon pointing in earnest and dishing out instructions after meeting his new squad in practice at the Blues’ Cobham training ground.

More important for Tuchel, though, will be how to handle and inspire the two biggest enigmas from Lampard’s £220million summer spree.
The German boss knows ex-Bundesliga superstars Timo Werner and Kai Havertz well.
But he faces a huge task to transform Werner back to his RB Leipzig free-scoring as the striker has notched just four goals in 19 games for Chelsea.

Tuchel certainly looked a serious figure during training as he assessed the Blues’ players.
he is tipped to instal a 3-4-3 formation, with a potential recall for outcast centre-back Antonio Rudiger.
It could also mean N’Golo Kante operting in his classic role as a midfield anchorman.
