ROY KEANE left TV viewers in stitches after revealing his ‘shock’ that Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell chatted to Billy Gilmour for 20 minutes.
And the Manchester United legend joked he doesn’t speak with ANYONE for more than five minutes – even his wife.
Gilmour returned a positive coronavirus test, and despite Mount and Chilwell not contracting the virus, they are self-isolating for ten days.
The Scottish midfielder hugged his two Chelsea team-mates at full-time of the 0-0 draw, with the trio then said to have had a long chat in the tunnel.
Gilmour was ruled out of Scotland’s final group game against Croatia – with the Scots failing to qualify for the knockout stages after a 2-1 defeat.
Mount and Chilwell missed England’s 1-0 win over Czech Republic, a result that saw them top Group D and set up a potential horror last-16 clash against Germany, France or Portugal.
Speaking on ITV ahead of England’s win, no-nonsense Irishman Keane said: “The only thing I would be critical of is why would you want to speak to an opposition player for 20 minutes?
“I don’t care if he’s your teammate or not. For over 20 minutes?
“I very rarely speak to anybody for over five minutes. After a game when you’ve been to war with somebody, why would you want to chat to somebody for that long?
“I think they could have used a bit more common sense. I rarely want to speak to anyone for five minutes.”
Host Mark Pougatch then queried: “I hope your wife gets more than five minutes?”
To which Keane replied: “No, never.”
Keane has been married to Theresa for almost 20 years after meeting in Dublin.
Football fans loved the footballer-turned pundit’s reaction.
One wrote that it was ‘the most Roy Keane answer ever’, while Jordan Cuthbert described it as ‘a belter’.
Another Twitter user even called for Keane to have his own ‘Netflix or Amazon show’ and described him as ‘hilarious’.
Jonathan Kerr summed up most of the feeling when he wrote: “Love Roy Keane straight to the point.”
But Three Lions boss Southgate was not in the same light-hearted mood as he spoke pre-match about the covid episode.
An irritated Southgate said: “We are of course disappointed, but we just have to get on with it.

“It is a bizarre situation. They have spent 120 seconds too long in a fairly open space, it is full of contradictions for me.
“Frankly, I don’t understand it at all. There are teams travelling around in buses and planes for hours in enclosed spaces.”
SunSport exclusively revealed that England were so cautious about the threat of Covid-19 ripping through their squad they put Mount and Chilwell into quarantine in the back of two ambulances.
The pair are now self-isolating after they were were identified as close contacts following the 20-minute chat.
England secured a 1-0 win thanks to an early Raheem Sterling header, Jack Grealish doing brilliantly to dribble past his man and cross for the assist.
