Man Utd eye shock Christos Tzolis transfer swoop with PAOK striker, 19, available for £17m as Dortmund circle

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly eyeing a shock £17million swoop for young Greek striker Christos Tzolis.

Sportime claims the PAOK star, 19, has caught United’s attention after scoring 15 goals in 33 games in this campaign.

Tzolis can play up front or on the wing, and also netted 19 times in 23 games for PAOK’S Under-19s last season.

He is now attracting interest from across Europe, with United leading the chase.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown he is a fan of bringing through top youth prospects, with the likes of Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood playing leading roles for the Red Devils.

Amad Diallo was a big-money arrival from Atalanta last month.

And kids including Hannibal Mejbri have also been promoted to the senior squad.

Tzolis would provide United with another exciting option in the final third.

And he could even be a potential long-term replacement for Edinson Cavani, who turned 34 this week.

However, United are not alone in their interest.

Borussia Dortmund are equally keen on Tzolis and also have a great track record with young players.

They turned Jadon Sancho into one of England’s top internationals, with the winger also strongly linked with United.

And Dortmund also managed to beat the Red Devils to Jude Bellingham last summer – as well as goal sensation Erling Haaland a year ago.

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are also keen on signing Tzolis, who has one goal in four appearances for the Greek national team.

PAOK are reportedly happy to sell him for £17m this summer.

And it now remains to be seen where Tzolis ends up.
