LIVERPOOL are one of a number of European giants eyeing a move for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.
Serie A champions Inter Milan and Italian rivals Juventus, along with LaLiga heavyweights Real Madrid, are also interested in the 26-cap Serbia star, according to Calciomercato.
We reported in the summer how Manchester United have also reignited their interest in Milinkovic-Savic, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen to team him up with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.
Chelsea, Tottenham, Juventus and Paris-Saint Germain have also been linked with the 26-year-old Serb.
Milinkovic-Savic has been in sparkling form at the start of this season with three goals and two assists in eight games.
He is contracted to Lazio until June 2024 and Calciomercato say the club value him at about £59m.
It is thought Liverpool view Milinkovic-Savic as an ideal replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who left as a free agent to join Paris Saint-Germain in June.
The Serbian has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Europe since joining Lazio from Genk in 2015.

He has scored 50 goals and chipped in with 40 assists in 257 appearances for Maurizio Sarri’s side.
Calciomercato say Milinkovic-Savic ‘combines great physicality with an enviable technical quality’ and has been ‘one of Serie A’s best midfielders for several seasons now’.
And he underlined his battling qualities in a match against Fiorentina in May when he played the entire second half with a broken nose.
Despite knowing it was probably a fracture caused by a clash of heads, the Serbian insisted on playing on with two large plugs up his nose to stem the bleeding. He later needed an operation to repair the damage.
