Lacazette posted the picture on Instagram and wrote: “By Granit Xhaka, I thought we were friends”.

Thankfully for Arsenal fans, the 29-year-old is not in any danger of missing this weekend’s home clash against Leeds.

Lacazette is expected to lead the line at the Emirates after leading the Gunners’ recent revival after a crisis of confidence earlier in the season.

The former Lyon man will have just a year left on his contract in the summer and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Although Arsenal are yet to open talks with Lacazette over a new deal but the club are said to be very happy with his attitude in training.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano told The Blind Gooner’s YouTube channel: “This is an interesting situation because last summer he had an opportunity with Atletico Madrid, he was one of the options, but they decided to sign different players.

“Let’s see also the situation of Italian clubs, because Lacazette was appreciated with Juventus, but they are happy with Morata.

“At the moment Arsenal are happy with his performances, his mentality also in training because also I’m told that he’s training so well in the last weeks and everything.”

How Arsenal could line up this weekend against Leeds

However, Mikel Arteta will be without a number of other stars against Leeds due to injury including Thomas Partey.

Partey limped off injured in the Gunners’ defeat at Aston Villa last weekend, and has not recovered for Sunday’s game in time.

Left-back Tierney has missed the last four league games with Arteta revealing he is still struggling with a knee problem.
