Juventus stars who could go on cheap including Cristiano Ronaldo, Dybala and Ramsey if club don’t make Champions League

JUVENTUS could be set for a major upheaval this summer as they look set to miss out on the Champions League.

They are set to surrender their nine-year reign in Serie A – with Inter Milan closing on the title.

And things could get even worse with the Old Lady are currently fourth in Serie A and are level on points with third-place Napoli and fifth-place Milan.

Andre Pirlo has already allegedly been informed he could be sacked if he doesn’t qualify for the Champions League.

But the boss may not be the only one on his way should Juve fail to reach Europe’s elite competition and the financial bonuses that would bring.

SunSport takes a look at three of the biggest names who could leave should the Italian giants not qualify for the Champions League.

CRISTIANO RONALDO

Reports emerged yesterday that their star man will be offloaded due to doubts the Bianconeri would be able to support his huge wages from the Europa League.

Juventus were already struggling financially amid the coronavirus pandemic, reportedly hastening their push for a European Super League.

But missing out on a top-four finish would hit the club’s coffers hard at the worst possible time.

Ronaldo costs the Old Lady a gross £1million-a-week in wages.

Without the tens of millions raked in via the Champions League, they would reportedly be forced to sell the 36-year-old despite having a year left on his contract.

Furthermore, it is said that the player himself would be keen to leave rather than spend one of his few remaining seasons outside the elite.

Manchester United and PSG are believed to be two potential options.

PAULO DYBALA

The Red Devils have also been linked with Ronaldo’s team-mate as reports claimed Dybala, 27, was set for an exit if he did not agree a new deal.

Talks had stalled between Juventus and Dybala but the two parties are now believed to be ready to sit down to discuss terms.

And the Argentina international could be offered an £8.7million annual salary to sign, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

That would represent a £2.1m increase on Dybala’s current £6.5m wages , which shows the Old Lady are determined to keep him.

However, discussions are not set to begin until Juventus know whether they finish in the top four or not.

And that new huge salary may not be feasible should they miss out on the riches of Champions League.

AARON RAMSEY

The former Arsenal man has been linked with a move away for months, with Everton and West Ham previously reported to be keen.

Should Pirlo keep his job, he is believed to be planning a major overhaul of his squad and the Welshman is one of those he wants to offload.

The 30-year-old left the Emirates for Turin on a free transfer in 2019 and is said to have penned a £400,000-a-week deal upon arrival.

Injuries have halted Ramsey’s momentum this season and leaves his future uncertain.
Pirlo and the club are desperate to keep him off the wage bill – which will intensify without Champions League football.

And there would be a queue of Premier League clubs ready to bring him back to England if he was willing to take a huge salary cut.

AND THE REST

Brazilian Alex Sandro, 30, has been rated as one of the best left-backs in the world in recent years.

But now it is understood Juve are looking to replace him with a fresh alternative.

Robin Gosens, 26, of Atalanta has been linked in the past, also a target for Manchester City.

Adrien Rabiot, 25, and Rodrigo Bentancur, 23, are also both said to be surplus to requirements with Pirlo plotting for a whole new midfield.
