REAL DEAL
Bayern Munich star and Manchester United transfer target David Alaba has agreed to join Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Austrian defender is out of contract at the end of the season and is believed to have agreed a move to the Spanish giants after much speculation.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the deal has been confirmed but will not be officially announced until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has confirmed he won’t be signing a new contract at Bayern, leaving the press to speculate about his next club.
Speaking in February, Alaba said: “I have decided to do something new. It wasn’t an easy decision.
“I have not yet made the decision where to go.”
KAN DO ATTITUDE
Ryan Mason has dismissed suggestions that Harry Kane has asked to leave Tottenham in the summer window.
He said: “I don’t think anything [about the situation] is awkward. There’s always speculation around the best players, like there’s been speculation around who the next manager will be.”
When asked if Kane has asked to leave, Mason added: “No, not that I’m aware of. All of my conversations with H have been about the game. All these conversations, I am not so sure. I don’t know.
“I speak to Harry pretty much every day. He’s excited along with me about tomorrow. Our only discussions have been about the game tomorrow. We’re looking forward to tomorrow.”
BRU BEAUTY
Bruno Fernandes’ brilliant effort against Everton has been named as Manchester United’s goal of the season.
TED DEVILS
Teddy Sheringham has urged Manchester United to go all out to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.
The 51-year-old told bookmakers.co.uk: “From a Manchester United point of view, if you can get him, then go get him.
“You’re talking about Harry Kane.
“He is the top No9 in the world for me. People talk about [Erling] Haaland who is a very good youngster coming through with unbelievable promise, but Harry Kane is the best number nine in the world.
“From a Manchester United point of view, if you can get him, then go get him.
“Tottenham supporters won’t want to hear that, but they’ve heard it for the last three years – Harry Kane is a big money player, he’s the best and everybody wants him.”
JU KNOW IT
Juventus deployed Cristiano Ronaldo to announce their 2021-22 home kit in a potentially huge hint that the winger is staying at the club.
On Tuesday, the Serie A side revealed the new Adidas designed strip for next season, which celebrates a decade at their Allianz Stadium home.
KEANE FOR SUCCESS
Roy Keane has followed Manchester United legend Eric Keane in joining the Premier League Hall of Fame.
GOING DUTCH
Former Manchester United star Memphis Depay is reportedly closing in on a move to Barcelona after going house-hunting in Catalonia.
The 27-year-old is poised to link up with the Blaugrana on a free transfer in the summer having refused to sign a new deal to remain in France.
This season he has chipped in with 22 goals and ten assists in 39 games in all competitions – helping his side qualify for the Champions League.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, he has set his eyes on a switch to Spain to link up with former Holland boss Ronald Koeman.
They state that he was looking for houses in Barcelona with his family two weeks ago when visiting the city.
FOX HUNT
Brendan Rodgers accepts Leicester will not be able to hold on to their Wembley heroes if a superpower comes knocking.
N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Riyad Mahrez, Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell have all moved on for pastures new in recent years.
And the likes of Youri Tielemans and Harvey Barnes have both been linked with following captain Maguire to Old Trafford.
Leicester boss Rodgers admitted: “Every team loses players, none more so than us since winning the title.
“I’m not going to sit here naively and say winning the FA Cup will ensure all our players will stay.
“But we can create an incredible environment for players to work, develop and improve.
“And when you see those scenes at the weekend, you know you can become a winner here too.”
KANE YOU STOP
Tottenham have released a strongly worded statement in response to Manchester United target Harry Kane’s request to leave.
The North Londoners urged everyone to ‘focus on finishing the season strongly’ in the wake of the England ace telling Spurs he wants to go.
In a statement published by the Standard, Tottenham said: “Our focus is on finishing the season as strongly as possible.
“That’s what everyone should be focused on.”
MORE FROM CANTONA
King Eric has joked he isn’t surprised about being inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame as he thanked those that voted for him.
He told the Premier League: “I feel very happy and very proud – and at the same time, I’m not surprised!
“I would have been surprised not to be elected. You know, I’m not surprised.”
Before adding: “It is very important to have an honour like this. I play football, I love football, I dreamt about football when I was a kid.
“Of course, to play in England was a dream.
“It’s a dream of everybody, and playing in the Premier League, so I have to say thanks to all the people who voted for me – the older generation and your generation, everybody.
“Which is very important because as I tell you it was a long time ago, and sometimes people forget!”
KING ERIC
Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has become the third inductee into the Premier League Hall of Fame.
The 54-year-old follows inaugural inductees Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer after a glittering career in England.
Cantona linked up with the Red Devils from Leeds in November 1992 after helping the Whites win the First Division title.
And his impact at Old Trafford was immediate as he was instrumental in United winning their first-top flight championship since 1967.
In total, the French icon won four Premier League titles in five years before retiring in 1997 at the age of 30.
Cantona – who chipped in with 70 goals and 56 assists 156 outings for both United and Leeds – is the first of six inductees voted by fans from a 23-man shortlist.
KANE DO
Tottenham have reportedly drawn up a list of potential striker targets if Harry Kane leaves the club this summer.
The Mail claim that Spurs recruitment staff have identified which players they might be able to take in part-exchange from both Manchester clubs.
The report adds that Spurs are eyeing City frontman Gabriel Jesus as well as United ace Anthony Martial.
SOLSKJAER ON MAGUIRE’S ABSENCE
He told Sky Sports: “Harry has been very important for us. He has been an ever present pretty much so he is a big miss. But that is football.
“We have just got to make the most of it. Every team have had players out for different reasons. It is a chance to get better again.”
“It is a different dynamic, of course. Harry is the captain. He is the leader of the group. He has been the one taking charge off the pitch as well.
“Now his time is focused more on recovering and trying to get back for the final. But Victor (Lindelof) is vocal. Eric (Bailly) has come in and is finding his feet. Of course, the more he plays, the better he will be as well.
“We have not had great results in the last couple but these players have been training together all year.
“We want to step it up and get momentum going. Get the confidence back, get a feeling going into the last game of the season with a team that is gelled together.”
SOLSKJAER ON FANS RETURNING
He told Sky Sports: “I think we have been the team that have missed our fans the most. Books will be written about this pandemic and they will show all the stats. It will be interesting to read it.
“But we already have a sense of how much fans have been missed by how the results have been skewed. It is unheard of to have more wins away than at home.
“When you have 76,000 at Old Trafford, it is an absolutely magical place and when you play well that adrenaline, enthusiasm and excitement, that extra bit that they give you, they suck the ball in at the Stretford End. So many times we have had help from the fans.
“Of course, 10,000 is not 76,000 but it is still a large number cheering us on and it will help a lot.”
YOU KANE DO IT
Manchester United are one of many clubs tipped to bid for Harry Kane after the striker asked Tottenham for a summer move.
Here’s how the Red Devils could line-up with the England captain…

United first-team ace Mason Greenwood wrote: “Good luck bro.”
While Dylan Levitt enthused: “What a guy , what a player, gonna miss you bro.”
Dishon Bernard added: “Papi – gonna miss you brother.”
Former United starlet Angel Gomes said: “Good luck my bro.”
Manchester City star Eric Garcia, who also appears primed for a return to Spain, commented: “Let’s go bro.”
DEVIL MAY CARE
Manchester United starlet Arnau Puigmal has confirmed his intention to leave Old Trafford this summer.
In a prepared graphic posted on social media, the 20-year-old wrote: “Four years ago I decided to leave everything behind and sign for Manchester United.
“I took that plane to follow my dream of becoming a professional football player. And I would definitely go through it all over again.
“I’ve experienced many things that will be part of me forever.
“I’ve been lucky to share the changing room with one of the best teams, personally and professionally, I’ve ever played with.
“I will take great friends with me forever.
“Now I feel it’s time to put an end to this amazing phase of my life. But first, I just wanted to thank every person in this club that has helped me from day one.
“I feel blessed that our path crossed, and you will always be in my heart.
“Once a red, always a red.”
PUIG-ING OUT
United starlet Arnau Puigmal has confirmed his intention to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Spaniard arrived at Carrington four years ago as a promising 16-year-old.
But in light of limited first-team opportunities, Puigmal has decided to try something new.
Puigmal wrote on Instagram:
RED RESHUFFLE
United host Fulham at Old Trafford tonight and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is without four big names.
Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Dan James are all out with the Norwegian set to hand Axel Tuanzebe a start at centre-back.
Maguire is on crutches and wearing a protective boot after damaging ankle ligaments just over a week ago against Aston Villa.
It left manager Solskjaer fearing the worst ahead of the final against Villarreal in Gdansk a week on Wednesday.
But the latest update has been more positive and Solskjaer says he will give his captain right up until the last minute to prove his fitness.

‘ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY’
Dimitar Berbatov thinks Harry Kane is in a similar position he was in when he joined Manchester United in 2008.
The Bulgarian is delighted that he made the move and his words might hit home for the England captain.
He told The Telegraph: “When you hear that one of the biggest clubs wants you after you’ve tasted the success of winning a trophy, let me tell you something, things change dramatically.
“Because you think, ‘this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to win more, so I’m not going to miss it’.
“I knew I would disappoint some people, some people would be angry but, in the end, this is my own path, my own success story, so I needed to write it in my own way.
“That’s why I took that decision and, probably, we will see it happen again soon because Harry Kane is in my position now where I was before.
“It’s difficult, it’s stressful, a lot of questions in your head, but in the end I needed to write my own story in football.”
INK-REDIBLE
Antonio Valencia unveiled a new Red Devils tattoo depicting his UEFA Cup trophy lift in 2017.
And it’s not too shabby!
SANCHO ALTERNATIVE
Manchester United are eyeing up a potential transfer deal for Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby this summer.
The talented 21-year-old has shone once again in the Bundesliga this season, and CaughtOffside understands his performances have attracted interest from the Premier League.
Diaby looks like he could soon be ready to make the step up to a bigger club, though CaughtOffside understands Leverkusen won’t let him go on the cheap, with a fee of at least £45million required to convince them to sell.
MEND TO BE
Manchester United have entered the race for Sporting Lisbon prodigy Nuno Mendes.
The left-back has made a rapid rise to prominence this season, making 44 appearances in all competitions for Sporting.
Mendes has a release clause of about £61m in his contract but United have made contact with the Portuguese champions about a potential £52million deal for the 18-year-old full-back.
Manchester City had been linked with a move for Mendes but SunSport understands there is no interest from them.
