When is Copa America 2021?

  • This year’s tournament was actually supposed to take place last summer but it was pushed back a year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
  • The first game is on Sunday, June 13 and will be played between hosts Brazil and Venezuela.
  • The final will take place on July 11, the same day as the Euro 2020 final, and will take place in Rio de Janeiro at the Maracana Stadium.

This year’s tournament will see a total of 10 teams competing for South America’s most-coveted international prize.

Brazil are the holders and they’re hosting the tournament after Argentina and Colombia pulled out just weeks before the start.
