MIKEL ARTETA’S Arsenal are currently bottom of the Premier League table after three consecutive losses to start the 2021/22 season.
And the Gunners are yet to find the back of the net in the league, with fans on social media quick to poke jokes at the club’s expense.
Users on Twitter have taken aim at the Gunners by saying a ‘Fifa goal’ will have to be used for their Premier League goal of the month award.
One fan fumed: “So is Arsenal’s goal of the month award coming from goals scored on Fifa or at training?”
While another said: “Or [use] a training ground goal”
A Chelsea fan chipped in by saying: “They could pick one from the youth team matches.”

Meanwhile one eagle eyed user pointed out: “Arsenal has gotten more red cards than they scored goals this season”
And social media users are not wrong.
Granit Xhaka’s red card in the humiliating 5-0 loss against Manchester City outnumbers the goals scored by the Gunners in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side kicked off the season with a dismal 2-0 defeat to Premier League new-boys Brentford.
A home loss against Chelsea by the same scoreline followed, before that thrashing at the Etihad.
The international break then came to Mikel Arteta’s rescue, with the Carabao Cup second round win against West Brom his side’s only win so far this campaign.
The Gunners did rack up six goals in that outing at the Hawthorns, but failed to transfer those goals to the Premier League.
Fans of the North London outfit could not have asked for a better clash to break that hoodoo when the Premier League returns though.
Newly promoted Norwich are the visitors to the Emirates on Saturday, with the winless Canaries only ahead of Arsenal in the league on goals scored.
Daniel Farke’s side managed to net in the 2-1 home defeat to Leicester on Matchday Three, meaning they are currently 19th in the league with Arsenal rooted to the bottom of the table.
And Arsenal fans will be desperate for at least a goal in that clash, meaning they have an automatic candidate for their September Premier League goal of the month.
Something that can’t be said for the month of August.
