Ander Herrera scoffs at Man Utd star Cavani’s three-match ban for ‘negrito’ post and claims ‘the world is going to s***’

ANDER HERRERA scoffed ‘the world is going to s***’ after his ex-PSG pal Edinson Cavani was slapped with a three-match ban by the FA.

The Manchester United star pleaded guilty to using insulting and/or improper words, after writing the phrase ‘Gracias Negrito’ on an Instagram post on November 29.

Herrera fumed in Spanish on Instagram

Cavani, 33, apologised for the post and immediately deleted it when informed it is considered offensive.

Nevertheless, the Uruguayan will now miss his side’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa this evening.

In addition to this he will have to sit out of matches next week with Manchester City and Watford in the EFL Cup and FA Cup respectively.

Herrera, himself a former Old Trafford star, leaped to the defence of his friend on Instagram.

The Spaniard, 31, blasted: “If they ban you for that. The world is going to s***.

“Big hugs and stay strong Edi.”

Cavani, who in addition to his ban has been fined £100,000 and ordered to attend an FA education programme, again apologised for the post – but insisted that his ‘heart is at peace’.

He wrote: “Hello everyone, I do not want to extend much in this uncomfortable moment for me.

“I want to share with you that I accept the disciplinary sanction knowing that I am foreign to English language customs, but I do not share the point of view.

“I apologise if I offended someone with an expression of affection towards a friend, nothing further was my intention.

‘Those who know me know that my effort is to always seek the simplest joy and friendship!

“I appreciate the countless expressions of support and affection.

Those who know you know the kind of person you are!!!’

“My heart is at peace because I know that I always expressed myself with affection according to my culture and way of life. I send you a sincere hug.”

Fellow United star Marcos Rojo also offered words of support.
