ALEXIS SANCHEZ gave Inter Milan chiefs a tough decision to make after his stunning display against Empoli last night.
Inter had been contemplating getting rid of the Chilean winger before he provided a brilliant assist to teammate Danilo D’Ambrosio in their 2-0 win over Empoli.
However after the ex-Manchester United aces’ contribution in the game, the Nerazzurri are said to be having second thoughts about letting him leave, Sempreinter reported.
Inter’s assistant boss Massimiliano Farris, who took the reins at the game as head coach Simone Inzaghi was serving a touchline ban, spoke of Sanchez’s talents after the match.
He said: “Alexis has that creativity, that moment of magic, you just need to see the assist for D’Ambrosio’s goal.”
Sanchez has struggled to get into Inter’s first team this season but still costs the Italians a whopping £5.9million in wages which is one of the main reasons they wanted to get rid of him in January.
Everton are reportedly interested in taking Sanchez off of Inter’s hands as they look to bolster their attacking options.
According to Inter Live, boss Rafael Benitez is a fan of Sanchez and would like to add him to his depleted squad.

They reckon that Everton will offer out of favour striker Cenk Tosun in exchange for the forward.
But Everton’s initial proposal could be turned down, with Inter preferring a cash deal over a player exchange.
And Sanchez seems up for a move away from the Scudetto champions after posting a cryptic social media post hinting at his exit.
He wrote: “Realise that you can worth a lot, but if you are in the wrong place, you are not going to shine,” underneath a picture of a neglected Lamborghini in the sand.”
However, Everton may have to battle it out with Spanish trio Valencia, Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano who are also reportedly interested in Sanchez.
