MIKE TYSON has discussed his reckless spending habits during his career which saw him spend £3.2million on luxury cars and bikes in less than three years.
The boxing icon, 54, bought a number of expensive vehicles in his heyday including Rolls Royce’s, Cadillac’s and a custom Ferrari.
His lavish lifestyle saw him file for bankruptcy in 2003 after blowing away his estimated £320m fortune.
And in an interview with Graham Bensinger from 2016 that has resurfaced online, Iron Mike commented on his mega spending spree following his release from prison in 1995.
Talking about how he splashed out on over £3.2m on cars and bikes, he said: “That’s just how I lived my life when I was living my life back then.
“I don’t even think I’m that kind of guy. I don’t even look for ever considering having money like that anymore.”
Tyson then revealed that he never knew about the art of retaining money as he claimed it was his ‘ego’ that led him to spend so much.
He added: “There’s an interesting art in possessing it. I just was a young kid, having fun.
“That’s just how I lived my life. That’s my addictive personality, that’s a lot of things, that’s my ego, that’s so many other things that stems from, pretty much.
“From me being poor and never having anything, from me being bitter, angry from being in prison. It stems from a lot of things.”

The former world champion then stressed he has no regrets about his financial decisions that caused him to file for bankruptcy.
He remarked: “I’m just happy the way I am now, I guess, I’m pretty content. I don’t too much dwell on what I was and in the past.
“I’m alive, I’m able to take care of my house and my kids and all that stuff.
“I’m pretty happy, but in that situation in the past [when] I had these hundreds of millions of dollars, I had so much [but] I couldn’t even do so little. Right now I have so little, but I do so much.”
Tyson reportedly pocketed a whopping £7.5m from his comeback bout against Roy Jones Jr in November in their exhibition bout.
And he could be set for another hefty payday should he rematch Lennox Lewis later this year.
