JAKE PAUL has torn into Claressa Shields after she suffered the first defeat of her fight career.
Boxing star Shields lost to Abigail Montes via a split decision in just her second professional MMA bout.
And YouTuber Paul could not resist taking a swipe at the woman who said she would never degrade herself by fighting on one of his undercards.
Paul tweeted: “The truth hurts but it’s necessary. Claressa Shields is a loser. In MMA, and even more so with her prima donna attitude.
“The fake always get exposed. Losses come when anger and hate take over. Just ask Rousey and McGregor.
“She spent more time berating Jake Paul than learning Jiu Jitsu. She’s never been a big draw and unfortunately for her she never will be.
“Amanda Serrano (the GWOAT) though, has 30 KOs in 42 fights. 2-0 in MMA, both wins by submission. Congrats Abigail Montes on the win.”
Serrano is another fighter who competes in both boxing and MMA and fought on Paul’s undercard back in August.

Shields released a statement of her own in the aftermath of her loss to Montes in which she refused to mention Paul.
She wrote on Instagram: First of all, congratulations to Abigail Montes. This has been a very interesting journey with some great opponents.
“Just as I am gracious in victory, I will be gracious in defeat. I thought the fight was close. I’m learning on the job and am happy for the experience.
Thanks to the ‘pflmma’ and my coaches ‘mmacoachwink’, ‘gregjacksonmma’, ‘tussagb’ and all my fans for your support. GWOAT out.”
Shields is only 26 but already stands as one of the most decorated boxers of her era, with titles across three weight divisions and two Olympic golds.
Her earlier foray into MMA saw her debut in the Professional Fighting League with a knock-out win against Brittney Elkin back in June.
She has previously claimed she could beat up Paul with one hand and threw off the idea she would fight on his undercard as ‘disrespectful’.
She said: “Don’t ever disrespect me, I would never fight on the undercard of Jake Paul.
“I’m a three-division world champion and a two-time Olympic gold medallist in boxing.”
