Tommy is currently 5-0 and is now hoping to stretch that to six when he returns to the ring on June 5.
The former Love Island star is fighting on the undercard of Daniel Dubois vs Bogdan Dinu.
He will battle a man 16 years his senior in Andy Bishop – who has a record of 0-14.
And Tommy has been criticised for the calibre of the journeyman he is taking on.
UFC superstar McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh tweeted after the announcement: “5-0 v 0-14? Really?”
YouTuber Paul, who has been involved in a bitter war of words on social media with Tommy after the pair both called each other out, was a lot less diplomatic with his reaction.
The 24-year-old, who is 3-0 in the ring, posted on Instagram: “And of course this gets announced the next day. Embarrassing the Fury name.”
That came after he unleashed an angry tirade against Tommy and the Fury family after they called him out.

Tommy insists he would love to fight the much-maligned American.
But Paul has dismissed his wishes and says that he is fighting at a much higher level than the Brit.
He also poured further fuel on the fire when he claimed Tommy’s girlfriend, Molly-Mae Hague, had previously sent him a message on Instagram.
This has now been proven to have been from a fake account.
