Floyd Mayweather rules out his two sons following in his boxing footsteps because they ‘smoke weed’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has ruled out his sons ever following in his boxing footsteps as they both ‘smoke weed’.

Mayweather retired in 2017 with a perfect record-breaking 50-0 record and as the highest-paid fighter of all time.

As a result, his four children, Koraun, 21, Iyanna, 20, Zion, 18 and Jirah, 16, will never have to work a day in their lives.

And Mayweather can rest assured his sons will never turn to boxing, because they enjoy smoking weed too much, he claims.

He told The Million Dollaz Worth of Game show: “Well, my two boys they like to smoke weed so I know they ain’t going to box.

“I don’t, that’s what they like, they grown.”

Koraun has instead launched a music career, along with sister Iyanna, and once admitted he was not a fan of boxing at all.

He told USA Today when he was 14: “I find (boxing) boring.

“It is just like how people sit in the ring and fight for 12 rounds and it gets boring after a while. Sometimes they run.”

Mayweather, 44, announced last year plans to go into coaching after the death of his uncle Roger, once his trainer, and worked on the pads with Koraun.

For now, he is set to return to the ring for an exhibition with YouTuber Logan Paul, 26, and previously predicted he will earn a guaranteed £72m.

But having claimed to have earned way over £1billion, Mayweather’s family are set for life.

That includes his grandson Kentrell, who Iyanna gave birth to in January with rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, AKA YoungBoy NBA, the dad.

Mayweather said: “There’s a lot of people out there who have a famous face but they ain’t got s***.

“So, I truly believe in I’d rather have a currency then a legacy, because my legacy is already engraved in stone.

“A lot of times they say, ‘Oh, Mayweather, he’s doing exhibitions’ they be like, ‘It’s bad for boxing’.

“But at the end of the day, I look at my children, I look at my grandson, I look at my mother, I look at my father.

“My mother’s a millionaire, my dad’s a millionaire, my children are millionaires, my little grandson’s a multimillionaire and he doesn’t even know it.”
