Legal Commission praises the FIVB’s principles of transparency and good governance

 
 

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 3, 2020 – The FIVB Legal Commission met via videoconference on Friday, to discuss the latest FIVB legal matters and ensure that all legal affairs continue to follow the federation’s principles of transparency and good governance.

One of the major topics discussed at the Commission meeting was the submission of the new FIVB Code of Ethics. The Commission also listened to the report of the FIVB Legal and Transfers department and spoke in depth about amendments to the FIVB regulations, including the FIVB Constitution, Rules of Procedure of the FIVB Congress, General Regulations, the FIVB Sports Regulations, and others.

During the meeting, FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° said:

“Transparency and good governance are not just words for us. We follow these principles on all the levels of our work and we will continue doing so for the benefit of our sport and to maintain its integrity. It is very important for us to remain credible and trustworthy for our stakeholders and partners, and we will continue moving into this direction with the regular support of the FIVB Legal Commission.”
