Kazan, Russia, March 17, 2020 – Dinamo Kazan and opposite Samanta Fabris extended their contract for another two years, through the 2021-2022 season.

The 28-year-old Croatian international is about to complete her first season with the Russian powerhouse and it has been more than successful so far. Dinamo won the Russia Cup with Fabris named Best Attacker of the Final Four tournament.

In the Superliga, the 1.88m-tall striker is currently the most efficient scorer in terms of points per set played, averaging at 6.48. The Tatari squad won the regular season and is currently one small step away from the championship series as Fabris led them to a straight-set away win over reigning title-bearers Dinamo Moscow in the first leg of the semifinal playoffs. On Monday, the silver medallist of the 2016 FIVB Club World Championship (with Italy’s Pomi Casalmaggiore) scored the team high of 23 points towards the victory in the Russian capital before Saturday’s re-match in Kazan.

With Samanta Fabris spearheading their offence, Dinamo Kazan have had a great season at a continental level too. They closed in on the CEV Cup semifinals with a straight-set home win over defending trophy-holders Unet e-work Busto Arsizio of Italy before the competition got put on hold.
