Jordan Henderson is only the second favourite after captaining the Reds to their first-ever Premier League title – and first league success in 30 years.
The Kop skipper is joined by team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold and flying winger Sadio Mane.
Alexander-Arnold laid on a league record for a defender 13 assists last term.
Meanwhile, Mane scored 18 goals and added a further seven assists as the key contributor to Liverpool’s star-studded front-three.
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne is the odds-on favourite for the personal award, despite his side struggling to keep pace with the Reds.
The Belgian equalled the Premier League assist record set by Thierry Henry with 20 – while also scoring 13 times himself.
Elsewhere, Jamie Vardy – who at 33 is the oldest winner of the Golden Boot in Premier League history – is on the shortlist after his 23-goal haul.
Red-hot Southampton striker Danny Ings also makes the cut after his 22 goals in 2019-20.
