‘King Kazu’ started his career after signing for Club Atletico Juventus in Brazil in 1982, moving to Santos in 1986 and has had 89 caps for the Japanese national team.
Miura was born in 1967, when England were world champions, Lyndon B Johnson was American president and Beatles single Penny Lane was topping the UK charts.
And he will play in his FIFTH decade in pro football, just days after his Zlatan Ibrahimovic was hailed for playing into his fourth decade.
Miura is widely thought to be the oldest professional player to score a competitive goal.

He said: “I was able to renew my contract with FC Tokyo for the 2020 season.
“I hope to enjoy playing soccer and remember to be grateful as I make an effort to achieve the club’s goal of staying in the J1.
“I’ll work hard to contribute to the team’s wins.”
Journeyman Miura’s list of clubs includes Santos, Genoa, Dinamo Zagreb, Vissel Kobe and Sydney FC.
His stint in Australia coincided with Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke’s playing time in the A-League.
He has scored 187 goals in 663 games and has 55 goals for the Blue Samaurai.
