And Goal claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eyeing Jimenez for a big-money switch to Old Trafford before the January transfer window closes.
The Mexico international, 28, has scored an impressive 17 goals this season, and also netted 17 times in the last campaign.
United are short on options in attack, and it’s reckoned both Jimenez and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner are targets for Solskjaer.
Speaking after the game, Wolves boss Santo claimed he had not heard Jimenez’s links to United.
But the Portuguese tactician admitted he does not know if the target man will definitely be staying put in the Midlands this month.
Santo said: “It’s the first time I heard it. Ole didn’t mention anything about it.
“But the transfer window is open. When it is open, anything can happen. But we are delighted to have Raul.”
Solskjaer weighed in with his thoughts on Jimenez too, adding: “He’s another good player we’ve been linked with.
“He came on and did well but I cannot comment on these situations.”
