MTV Cribs back in lockdown football special featuring Man Utd star Jesse Lingard and Arsenal defender David Luiz

FOOTBALL FANS will be treated to the return of an MTV classic next month… with a certain Premier League twist.

The hit show Cribs will be returning to screens around the world and a trio of top-flight footballers in England have signed up to take part.

Manchester United fans will be shown around the houses of Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira.

While Arsenal fans can enjoy exploring centre-back David Luiz’s pad.

Borussia Dortmund star Axel Witsel and 2017 Uefa Women’s Player of the Year Lieke Martens will also take part.

The show will be titled MTV Cribs: Footballers Stay Home and will be produced by Otro Studios.

Signed-up stars will give fans an insight into how they are coping with lockdown – staying fit and being able to wind down while the world battles the coronavirus pandemic.

So if you’ve ever wondered what might be in Jesse Lingard’s fridge, you’re in luck.

With production obviously being done remotely, the players themselves will be filming while directed by a remote team.

The stars will be connected to the lead producer, while the team watch what is being filmed through the player’s iPhone via a handheld camera rig.

Fans will be able to watch the series from June 1, when it airs on MTV platforms across 180 countries.

Craig Orr, who commissioned the show, explained the idea behind its launch.

He said: “MTV Cribs remains one of the most iconic shows in MTV’s history and whilst fans are home missing sports and seeking fitness ideas, we’ve asked some of our footie favourites to shed light on their stay-at-home routines.”
