Man Utd open to Paul Pogba transfer departure this summer with PSG and Juventus plotting £100m moves

MANCHESTER UNITED are resigned to losing Paul Pogba – with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain ready to pounce for the £100million France star.

Midfielder Pogba has made it clear behind the scenes that he wants out this summer – and has been unsettled at United since claiming he wanted a new challenge.

The Old Trafford club have been at war with his agent Mino Raiola and are now looking to young talents such as Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish to rejuvenate the side.

It is understood United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is tiring of the negative headlines and circus surrounding Pogba – and increasingly confident the club can thrive without him.

Pogba has played just eight times in an injury-hit season, while £55m January signing Bruno Fernandes has provided exactly the sort of leadership and drive United have lacked in his absence.

Brazilian Fred has also come to the boil this season and put in another assured performance as United beat Wayne Rooney’s Derby 3-0 on Thursday to book an FA Cup quarter-final against  Norwich.

World Cup-winner Pogba came through the United academy but left for Juventus in 2012, returning four years later in a blockbuster £89m deal.

But in truth his United career has never hit the heights he did with Juve and France and he has often cut a frustrated figure.

He was publicly courted by Real Madrid and the Bernabeu was thought to be his No1 choice of destination but Los Blancos now see signing PSG striker Kylian Mbappe as a higher priority.

Juventus are keen to be reunited with Pogba, while PSG ideally want another French national hero to replace Mbappe in the event of a move.

Pogba is set to return to full training next week and is desperate to prove his fitness in time to get a place in Les Bleus’ Euro 2020 squad.
A sizzling show at the summer finals will increase the list of Pogba’s suitors – and possibly his price.
