Man Utd kid Mason Greenwood only SECOND highest-scoring teen in English football this season behind Chelsea’s Gallagher

MASON GREENWOOD scored his fourth Premier League goal of the season as he continues to show what a hot prospect for the future he is.

The Manchester United striker, 18, scoring the final goal of the 4-0 drubbing of Norwich on Saturday in a much-needed win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But Greenwood isn’t even the highest-scoring teenager in English league football this season.

That honour goes to a Chelsea kid…

Check out the top scoring players aged 19 or under from the top four tiers, here.

CONOR GALLAGHER

Age: 19

Club: Charlton (on loan from Chelsea)

Goals: 6

SO prolific for Championship side Charlton, there has been talk of Frank Lampard recalling him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been thrilled with Tammy Abraham this season, but his support act – Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud – has been appalling.

If the Blues decide against diving into the transfer market for a new striker, they could well go knocking on the Addicks’ door.

Gallagher has six goals in 26 appearances for Charlton this term – but hasn’t scored since November, in the 2-2 draw with Cardiff.

Age: 18

Goals: 4

THE youngster has TEN goals in all competitions this season – including two in the 4-0 battering of AZ Alkmaar last month.

But just four of those have been in the league, with Greenwood playing 17 times in the Prem this term.

Unfortunately for the teenager, only two of those outings have been starts as he’s been limited mostly to appearances off the bench.

With United’s attacking options failing to inspire more often than not, Solskjaer could give Greenwood more starts – and then the goals will really start to flow.

JACK AITCHISON

Age: 19

Club: Forest Green (on loan from Celtic)

Goals: 4

THE Celtic ace has been thriving on loan at League Two side Forest Green Rovers this season.

Aitchison has played 21 times in the league this term, scoring four – including three in three games during a red-hot run in October-November.

Unfortunately for the youngster, he is goalless since the 4-0 FA Cup win over Billericay in November.

LUKE JEPHCOTT

Age: 19

Club: Plymouth

Goals: 4

THIS is where things get really interesting.

While Jephcott also only has four goals – he’s has played just TWICE all season.

The striker played his first game of the season on January 4, scoring twice in Plymouth’s 3-1 win away to Scunthorpe.

He then netted twice a week later in the 3-0 win away to Carlisle.

The Welsh teenager certainly appears to be one to watch…
