Kick-off was scheduled for 4.30pm.

Why has Man City vs West Ham been called off?

Man City vs West Ham has been called off as a result of Storm Ciara.

A club tweet has simply said: “Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporter and staff safety, today’s
Premier League match against West Ham has been postponed.”

However, fans later fumed about the decision as photos from the Etihad showed sun breaking out over the stadium.

Man City vs West Ham was meant to be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.

Live streaming was available for Sky Sports customers via the app on their computer, mobile and tablet devices.

The week commencing April 21 and May 8 are available, but Man City also need to arrange a new date for their match against Arsenal, which was postponed due to the League Cup final.

There may also be the possibility of the sides eating into the winter break and re-arranging the match for sometime over the next two weeks.

West Ham have also announced that free coach travel will be in place for all their fans with tickets to the original fixture.

  • Defeat for Man City will be their seventh of the season, the most Pep Guardiola has ever lost in a single league campaign
  • Jarrod Bowen will be looking to make his West Ham debut on Sunday, but it will be his eighth Premier League appearance after featuring in Hull City’s relegation campaign
