MANCHESTER CITY will reportedly allow legendary striker Sergio Aguero to plot his own exit strategy when he eventually decides to go.
The 31-year-old hitman cemented his status as the greatest foreign goalscorer in Premier League history with a hat-trick in the 6-1 win at Aston Villa.

That saw the Argentinian international overtake Thierry Henry to become the most prolific import in the Prem since its inception in 1992.
However, the forward will be 33 when his contract expires at the end of next season.
And that would seem to be an ideal time for the South American to depart The Etihad with the club already starting to think about his long-term replacement.
Aguero has spoken of his desire to rejoin boyhood club Independiente in Argentina when he eventually departs Manchester.
And the Daily Mail claim City chiefs “are willing to let Aguero dictate his own exit” and “do not want to be seen preparing for it while he remains a central figure”.
His treble against Villa took his tally to 18 for the current season and 176 in the top-flight in total.
Today’s report states City are reluctant to make any concrete moves for a new striker out of respect for Aguero.
And they are willing to continue giving the special treatment to the icon due to the player being viewed as an institution among the club’s hierarchy.
But behind the scenes the process of identifying replacements for Aguero has already begun.
Pep Guardiola said last month: “We have another incredible striker in Gabriel Jesus and maybe another will come when Sergio leaves — but he is irreplaceable.
“In the box he is incredible but I had other guys who were not bad.
“Ronaldo the Brazilian, Romario, Samuel Eto’o — he was one of the most incredible strikers I’ve seen in my life, he could do everything — and Sergio is of course one of them.
“Lionel Messi is a little bit higher than them but Sergio is one of them.”
