FORMER Charlton Women’s star Lucy Kerr has tragically passed away at 20 after losing her battle with cancer.
Lucy joined the club in 2013 and had progressed all the way to the senior squad, as well as playing for and captaining Kent Schools.

Charlton Athletic Women’s Manager Riteesh Mishra worked with Lucy in the U16s. He said: “The news is tragic. My heart goes out to Lucy’s family and friends.
“She was there at the start of my journey with Charlton as a coach with the Under 16s. Her personality and attitude in particular were infectious and she always put a smile on the faces of staff.
“She will be in our thoughts and forever be part of our Charlton family.”
Lucy was crowned Under-14s Player of the Year and starred in the U16s before shining in the club’s development team.
A Charlton statement read: “The thoughts of everyone at Charlton Athletic Women are with the family at this difficult time and the club will pay tribute to Lucy in an upcoming fixture.
“Everyone at Charlton Athletic would like to send their condolences to Lucy’s family at this difficult time.”
England star Toni Duggan tweeted: “Heartbreaking! My thoughts are with all her family and friends at this difficult time.”
West Ham ace Gilly Flaherty posted: “Thoughts go out to all of Lucy’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
