Speaking on the club’s TV channel, as reported by Football Italia, the 25-year-old said: “I’m fine, I’ve been pretty good.

“I haven’t had the symptoms you read about in the news.

“I was lucky despite it being a good hit, because I was the first in our environment to get it.

“I hope it will serve to raise awareness.”

The Serie A giants are based in one of the worst-affected regions of Italy which is now on total lockdown due to the spread of the killer bug.

And Rugani picked up the virus after Juve were exposed to an infected Serie C team.

Former Arsenal target Rugani – a seven-cap Italy international – was the first Serie A player to contract the virus.

Six more Serie A stars, five from Sampdoria and one from Fiorentina have been diagnosed with coronavirus and are now in quarantine, along with Rugani.

All sport in Italy has been cancelled until at least April 3 due to coronavirus.

Meanwhile Rugani’s Juve team-mate, Cristiano Ronaldo, is self-quarantined in his luxury Madeira villa.

His girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez has been offering glimpses of the stunning hideaway where they are sitting out the coronavirus pandemic after the couple jetted to the island in the early hours of Monday morning.

Ronaldo shared a dressing room with Rugani last Sunday when his team beat Inter Milan 2-0 behind closed doors, has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Serie A side has confirmed it is “activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him.”

Confirming the former Real Madrid striker is staying put and not returning to Italy for the time being, it added: “Cristiano Ronaldo has not trained and remains in Madeira awaiting developments with the current health crisis.”
