Jurgen Klopp responds after Liverpool star Mo Salah hints he is open to Real Madrid or Barcelona move

JURGEN KLOPP has insisted he is ‘fine’ with Mohamed Salah’s comments after the star hinted he may be open to a transfer to Real Madrid or Barcelona.

The Egyptian has been a driving force for the Reds, as they have romped to Champions League and Premier League glory in the last two seasons.

But during an interview with AS, the 28-year-old remained coy when asked about his future.

He said: “Who knows what will happen.

“But right now I am focused on winning the Premier League and the Champions League with Liverpool again.”

Asked to expand on his answer, he continued: “That’s a tough question, but right now I can say that everything is in the hands of the club.

“Of course I want to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but everything is in the hands of the club.”

Asked to respond to his No11’s comments, who he’d rotated for his side’s 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace, Klopp was nonplussed.

He said: “First time for a while we had opportunity [to change].

“Bringing him for the last half was a good idea, so that is it.

“I have nothing to say [about the AS interview]. All fine from my side.”

Both men had ample reason to be cheerful at the final whistle, having broken records this afternoon.

Salah, who scored twice and laid on an assist during his cameo appearance, became the first player in Premier League history to contribute to three goals from the bench.

And Klopp reached a landmark 127th Premier League victory in charge of the Reds, moving him one ahead of the previous record-holder Rafael Benitez.
