Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez happy to be linked with Man Utd and Man City but in no rush to leave Italy

INTER MILAN striker Lautaro Martinez has said he is flattered by the interest from both Manchester United and Man City, but is happy in Italy.

Both of the Premier League giants were said to be interested in the Argentinian, who has scored 15 goals in 25 appearances alongside Romelu Lukaku so far this season.

But while Martinez is appreciative of the link to the two clubs, he has made it clear he has no intention of moving right now.

Speaking to TycSports, he said: “Today, I’m an Inter player and I’m happy here.

“The fact that they speak well of me means that I’m doing something right and the intention is to continue on this path.

“I’m calm, happy and at ease with Inter.”

He has forged a devastating partnership with ex-Man Utd player Lukaku, who has rejuvenated his career in Milan and currently stands as the joint second top scorer in the league.

The pair are thriving under Antonio Conte as they continue to try and chase down Juventus, with the champions currently holding a one point lead in the title race.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be in the window for a new striker given the recent injury concerns over Marcus Rashford.

The Norwegian recently revealed ahead of the Red Devils’ clash with Liverpool that he wouldn’t expect to see the England forward back for some time.

He said: “I wouldn’t expect to see him for the next few weeks.”
