How Juventus could line-up under Pep Guardiola with Lionel Messi joining Cristiano Ronaldo and Leroy Sane up front

JUVENTUS are preparing to step up their quest to become the world’s greatest football team by getting Pep Guardiola on board.

And the Old Lady could try to match that ambitious move with some huge moves in the transfer market.

A number of top players are reportedly growing unhappy at their current teams and might fancy joining the Spanish coach in Turin.

SunSport understand that Juve are preparing a money-is-no-object approach to take Guardiola from Manchester City this summer.

The coup relies on Pep wanting to call it a day in England after four years in charge at Eastlands.

Taking City into the 2020/21 season will mean the 49-year-old would have spent more time in the Premier League than as boss of Barcelona’s first-team or Bayern Munich.

With Juventus one of the richest clubs in the world, they have the potential to go all out with their subsequent transfer deals.

Lionel Messi is said to be increasingly discontented with life at Barcelona and the opportunity to reunite with his old boss may interest him.

Indeed, this would mean linking up with Ballon d’Or nemesis Cristiano Ronaldo, a notion that might excite the Argentine, 32, as he plots the later years of his career.

Current Bianconeri mainstays such as Miralem Pjanic, Paulo Dybala and Leonardo Bonucci can all expect to stay in the team as they fit Guardiola’s style of play.

Furthermore, goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has made the No1 jersey his own – but Pep would still be temped to bring Claudio Bravo with him as back-up for old times’ sake.

Another City player, Leroy Sane, is looking elsewhere having not yet signed a new contract in Manchester and he too could view a switch to Serie A as too good to turn down.

That is especially if Guardiola can guarantee the German a spot on the left-flank in such a tantalising attack, with Bayern Munich also chasing him.

One other addition could be made with Juve’s right-back spot becoming somewhat troublesome of late.

Thomas Meunier’s Paris Saint-Germain contract expires soon and the athletic, forward-thinking Belgian is set to be highly sought after in the summer.
