HARRY KANE is facing four to six weeks on the sidelines after injuring his hamstring in Tottenham’s dismal 1-0 New Year’s Day defeat to Southampton.
The Spurs skipper was withdrawn in the 75th minute after appearing to pull up having put the ball into the Southampton net.

Disaster struck for Jose Mourinho’s side, however, as the goal was chalked off for offside – before Kane signalled that he’d have to be substituted.
The talismanic striker left St Mary’s on crutches, and faced initial tests today.
In the aftermath of the defeat at Southampton, Mourinho said: “It is negative, hamstring is always negative. Is it a tear, is it a small thing, is it a contraction? At this moment I cannot say.”
He will continue to be assessed over the coming days – but is currently expected to be missing for between four to six weeks.
This will place further strain on a Spurs squad that has already been stretched this season.

Son Heung-min is the most likely deputy, having played upfront a number of times before.
The South Korean has now served his ban for the red card he received against Chelsea and will available for selection against Middlesbrough on Sunday.
Lucas Moura is another option – while teenage sensation Troy Parrott was handed a senior professional debut by Mauricio Pochettino earlier this season.
Kane has only been unavailable once so far this campaign, when he was stricken with illness for Spurs’ trip to Everton back in November.

But he has suffered from a number of injuries in recent seasons, mainly in his ankle.
This isn’t his first hamstring injury though, having limped off in the 88th minute of his side’s 4-1 win over Liverpool in October 2017 with a problem in the muscle.
Kane will miss big games against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City – while their crucial Champions League first leg against RB Leipzig is on February 19 – meaning his availability could be touch and go.
