FRANK LAMPARD has got the WORST win rate of any Chelsea boss under Roman Abramovich following the humbling defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
The Blues chief, 41, has won just 49 per cent of his matches in charge this season – the lowest of any boss to survive the chop for a season.
Lampard has the worst win rate of any Chelsea boss to take control of the season by himself under Abramovich
Lampard has struggled to reach the heights of Mourinho and Conte’s best seasons
Only once in the Abramovich era have Chelsea had a lower win rate, in the 2015-16 season when Jose Mourinho was sacked.
That year Mourinho and interim chief Guus Hiddink compiled a shocking win percentage of just 38.
However, since Abramovich took over in 2003-04, no other Chelsea boss has slipped below the 50 per cent mark… until now.
Lampard got off to a flying start at Stamford Bridge as he defied all expectations and a transfer ban to ensure Chelsea kept pace with the league leaders.
But in the past few months, the Blues have fallen drastically off the pace and now sit a staggering 35 points adrift of Liverpool in top spot.
On top of that, they now face the prospect of being dumped out of the Champions League after losing their last-16 first-leg at home to Bayern Munich 3-0.
Lampard and Co now need a miracle if they are to progress to the quarter-finals.
While Lampard may be struggling this season, Chelsea’s best-ever season came under Antonio Conte in 2016-17.
That year, the Italian racked up a staggering win rate of 77 per cent – beating the previous record of 70 per cent set in 2009-10 under Carlo Ancelotti.
But Lampard has reason to be optimistic as he is set for to oversee a £300million overhaul this summer.
The Chelsea chief is set to be given a £150m transfer kitty, while selling EIGHT big-money flops in order to recoup an extra £150m.
With that money, Lampard is set to bring in upgrades across the board, with Jan Oblak, Dayot Upamecano, Ben Chilwell, Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner all targeted.
