LUKASZ FABIANSKI apologised for costing West Ham victory at Liverpool — and vowed to make up for it to team-mates and fans.
The Polish keeper, 34, let Mo Salah’s tame shot slip through his hands and legs at 2-1 up in a match that threatened to end the Reds’ unbeaten run.

They went on to lose 3-2 and there was more bad news for the third-from-bottom Hammers as midfielder Tomas Soucek, who went off at half-time, faces three weeks out with a hip injury.
Fabianski said: “My mistake basically cost the team the three points. We did really well, we pushed Liverpool to the edge and if it was not for my mistake we could have won.
“I am really sorry I let the team down. I held my hands up.
“The first goal and second goal I should have done a lot better, because I was set, I was ready to react and my hands were there.
“For some reason I just misjudged it or maybe I was a bit relaxed, thinking it was already caught.
“I will do my best to make up for it, work hard, make sure I cut out the mistakes and try to be an important part of the season.

“We are still in a bad position and I will just make sure I am more focused and more reliable.”
Hammers captain Mark Noble insisted Fabianksi still has the backing of team-mates.
He said: “Lukasz has been unbelievable for us and dug us out of many holes.
“There have been many times I have come in the dressing room and given him a cuddle and thanked him.
“Everyone makes mistakes, it is football. He came in and said sorry but I do not want him to do that because he has saved us many times.”
Of Soucek’s injury, Hammers head of medical services Richard Collinge said: “Tomas over- extended his hip flexor muscle but the scan was positive and revealed only a low-grade issue.
“We hope to have him back before the international break in March.”
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, whose side are 22 points clear at the top of the Prem, hailed his team’s mental strength after the fightback.
He said: “Not being nervous is the main thing. Keep going, keep playing and keep pressing.
“They played quite well but I think not being nervous is the main thing.”
