MANCHESTER UNITED have been dealt a blow with Ajax star Donny van de Beek insisting he will stay at the Dutch club until the end of the season.
Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in signing the skilful midfielder – but all hopes of luring him away from Holland look to be dashed.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, the 22-year-old said: “I’ll definitely stay at Ajax until the end of the season, and may even continue to the next one.”
United could have got the Ajax starlet for £20million in the last transfer window, but chose not to seal the deal.
A change of heart has seen them return for Van de Beek, but Real look to have stolen a march by already agreeing to match the near £47million asking price.
UNITED MISSED THEIR CHANCE?
United were so keen in the summer that they actually held extensive talks with the player’s representatives, before deciding against it.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperately needs to add more creativity to his midfield if he is to mount a serious top four challenge.
Speaking about the interest in him, Van de Beek added: “I said I’ll stay at Ajax, and I will.
“It’s nice to hear that teams are interested in me.”
Van de Beek, a product of the famed Ajax academy, was in the team which lost to United in the Europa League final three years ago.
He was a key member of the side which agonisingly lost out on a Champions League final slot to Spurs last term, albeit with the consolation of a domestic league and cup double.
