David Alaba ‘not convinced’ he wants to stay at Bayern Munich with Real Madrid and Barcelona showing transfer interest

DAVID ALABA is “not convinced” he wants to stay at Bayern Munich beyond the end of the current season – with Real Madrid and Barcelona set to swoop.

The Austrian star, still only 27, could finally end his 12-year stint at the club after admitting he wants a new challenge, according to Bild.

Alaba joined Bayern in 2008 since joining their youth ranks from Austria Wien – and has gone on to play nearly 400 times.

And with the Germans having a new left-back star in Alphonso Davies, they could be willing to sell for just £60million.

Alaba has played 28 times in all competitions for Bayern this term, but Davies has been the standout star in yet another incredible season for the Bundesliga giants.

The Canadian teenager, 19, put in a Man of the Match performance in the 3-0 win over Chelsea in the Champions League last month.

And Alaba may well know Davies is the future – with the superstar knowing he would still walk into most teams on the planet.

His new feelings of uncertainty have alerted the attention of LaLiga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Madrid are in need of a new long-term replacement for Marcelo, with Ferland Mendy another option.

Barca, meanwhile, may want to add him as a future replacement for Jordi Alaba, with Junior Firpo providing backup.

Chelsea had shown interest in signing Alaba in a £60m deal in January.

Frank Lampard is desperate to add some star quality to the position, with Marcos Alonso and Emerson enduring disappointing seasons on the whole.
