CRISTIANO RONALDO may have escaped to Madeira to dodge coronavirus but he remains at risk to the elements – with another earthquake hitting the island.
Two quakes have shaken the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s hometown of Funchal in the past fortnight.

After his mum Dolores suffered a stroke at the start of the month, the Juventus star flew out to the island off the coast of Africa to spend time with his family.
His return only involved one game before Serie A was suspended however, and he was back home after the 2-0 win over Inter Milan.
But Sunday morning saw an earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter Scale strike following a greater 5.2-rated shock just over a week earlier.
No one was hurt by the quakes although there have been reports of rocks and debris blocking some of the mountainous island’s roads.
The most recent earthquake took place at a depth of 10km with the epicentre off the southern coast of Madeira.
These shocks are believed to be the first in over 12 years on the island, where approximately 290,000 people live.
Among the residents lately has been Ronaldo, who is staying away from Italy during the virus pandemic.
Juve defender Daniele Rugani is one of several Serie A players to have tested positive for coronavirus.

Following the title clash victory over Inter, Ronaldo was pictured in the dressing room alongside his teammate – only three days before his diagnosis.
And today, another of Ronaldo’s team-mates – midfielder Blaise Matuidi – also tested positive for the virus.
Ronaldo will not return until he considers it safe to do so, according to reports, despite testing negative for coronavirus.
In the meantime, he can spend time inside a luxurious pad featuring a rooftop swimming pool and stunning ocean views.
