CRISTIANO RONALDO has told Juventus he will not be returning from Madeira after team-mate Daniele Rugani tested positive for coronavirus, according to reports.
After the confirmation of Rugani contracting the bug, Ronaldo is set to take precautionary measures in an attempt to prevent it spreading.

The Italian giants are in one of the most affected areas with parts going into total lock down.
Serie A has been suspended until at least April 3 as the country look to control the spread of the deadly bug.
Ronaldo had returned to the Portuguese island of Madeira to visit his mother after she suffered a stroke but now the 35-year-old has decided to remain there until it is safe to return.
With his mother in the fragile state, Ronaldo will be especially wary of the risks of the Coronavirus.
Rugani most-recently played in the 2-1 win over Spal on February 22.
But he tweeted a picture of himself celebrating with the whole Juve squad after the 2-0 win over Inter Milan just THREE DAYS ago – a game that was played behind closed doors.
Ronaldo and Co were pictured alongside the Italian in the dressing room.
Italy have been hit hard by the spread of the disease and have stopped all sporting events until further notice as they aim to control the bug.
The number of people who have tested positive for Coronavirus in the UK continues to increase, with the confirmed number at 460.
Eight people have died from the virus in the UK.
Sport continues to be heavily disrupted with numerous matches being forced to be played behind closed doors as governing bodies consider the next step.

In cricket, fans asking for autographs or selfies with stars such as Ben Stokes and Joe Root will be politely rejected during England’s tour of Sri Lanka.
Root’s team have stepped up anti-coronavirus precautions before the First Test on March 19 with between 3,000 and 5,000 supporters expected to arrive on the island.
The Premier League has already scrapped pre-match handshakes in attempt to prevent the spread but they could be forced to play remaining matches without fans as they consider taking necessary steps.
It would mean fans will have to watch their team on television as a result.
If fans are to be prevented from attending matches, it could also mean they would be prevented from going to the pub to watch the games as the prospect of fans cramming into a confined space to watch a match creates a major viral infection risk.
