CRISTIANO RONALDO jokingly recommended Bruno Fernandes focus his training elsewhere after coming up short in an Instagram abs challenge.
The Manchester United star had a go at the Living Room Cup dreamt up by Nike, calling on everyone to stay fit and active during coronavirus lockdown by doing as many ab crunches as possible in 45 seconds.

Setting the early pace was Ronaldo, the 35-year-old performing 142 reps while seeing out the pandemic in Madeira.
Among the first to challenge the Juventus winger was international teammate Fernandes – but he could only notch 117 crunches in the allotted time.
That brought about a brutal cutdown from Ronaldo, telling the playmaker to “train arms instead” in a cheeky reply on his Instagram stories.
The pair are regular companions on Portugal duty and the former United hero even helped persuade Fernandes to move to Old Trafford in January.
Ronaldo also commented on a number of attempts to beat his crown, club colleague Blaise Matuidi being asked “are you sure?!” after beating his tally with 144 reps.
Among the other footballers to try their hand at the Living Room Cup are Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, hitting 124 reps, and Real Madrid youngster Vinicius Junior, managing 125.

Meanwhile Arsenal youngster William Saliba made his attempt and reached a total of 65.
Most impressive of all has been South African sprint queen Caster Semenya.
Her 176 crunches in 45 seconds came at a rate of 3.9 reps per second, blowing away the competition.
After cruising past Ronaldo’s total, she wrote online: “Hola fellas thanks to Cristiano for his challenge, the beast himself did his best, I also manage to scoop 176 in that space of 45 seconds.”
