Tammy Abraham opened the scoring with Ross Barkley and a late Olivier Giroud goal adding the gloss as the Blues marched into the fourth round.
Here, Simon Phillips gives his ratings for SunSport.
Willy Caballero – 8/10
The veteran goalkeeper soon turns 39, but he actually kept Chelsea in the game on a number of occasions, making some great saves.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 6
A steady performance from the captain, but he never really brings enough to that role and probably shows why Reece James starts ahead of him in a full strength XI.
Fikayo Tomori – 7
Tomori gave the ball away on a few occasions but overall he had a decent game at the back and always looked for the sensible pass.
Thiago Silva – 8
After one small error early on, Silva showed exactly why he still is rated as one of the best defenders in the world at the age of 36.
He was replaced on 60 minutes by Kurt Zouma after a great shift.

Emerson – 7
He did the basics right but never really looks to advance with the ball enough. Having said that, it was a fair performance from Emerson tonight.
Mateo Kovacic – 9
Always controlling the play deep for Chelsea and constantly getting them out of the high-press, winning free-kicks and finding the outward pass.
Ross Barkley – 7
A few shaky moments in the deeper role early on for Barkley but overall he had a decent game and took his goal very well, but missed a real sitter late in the game.
Mason Mount – 8
A great first-half from Mount, he was involved in most of Chelsea’s good attacking play and got a nice assist for their second goal.
Kai Havertz – 10

What a game for Havertz grabbing his first senior hat trick and he looked absolutely brilliant in his more comfortable No10 role. MOTM.
Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6
Hudson-Odoi was trying too hard in the first-half off the back of rumours he could leave this window, always trying to do too much and put in a poor display as a result. He did improve in the second-half though.
Tammy Abraham – 10
Lively all game and made himself a real nuisance. Finished his goal well in the first half and had a very good link-up with Kai Havertz. It was an overall great performance from Abraham.
SUBS

Solid for Zouma.
Ben Chilwell (on for Havertz, 66) – 7

Took his goal well late on.
