Chelsea and Tottenham refuse to match Crystal Palace’s £80million price tag for Wilfried Zaha

WILFRIED ZAHA is set to stay at Crystal Palace for the rest of the season with suitors Chelsea and Tottenham baulking at his £80million valuation.

Neymar’s agent Pini Zahavi has been seeking to negotiate a move on behalf of the highly-rated forward.

The Ivory Coast striker had been hotly tipped for a move this month after attracting interest from Chelsea and Tottenham.

Zaha was also in demand last summer but a transfer failed to materialise.

The Blues were believed to be the favourites for his signature after having their transfer ban lifted ahead of the current window.

But the Daily Mail report that neither they nor Spurs are willing to meet Palace’s eye-watering asking price.

The report adds that Zaha has accepted a transfer is unlikely this month and won’t attempt to force an exit.

Zaha, 27, has scored three goals for Palace who drew away to Manchester City on Saturday.

The forward, who’s highly regarded by Eagles boss Roy Hodgson, has three and a half years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

With so much time remaining on his current deal, Palace are in a strong position to resist any unwanted approaches for their star asset.

Last summer Zaha was reported to be on the verge of a move to Everton, although Toffees finance chief Sasha Ryazantsev dismissed the links as “not realistic”.
