Charlie Austin launches X-rated Twitter rant slamming Southampton fans ‘s***’ and one supporter a ‘cheeky c**t’

CHARLIE AUSTIN launched an X-rated Twitter rant, blasting Southampton supporters as “s***”.

The West Brom striker, 30, also labelled one Saints fan a “cheeky c**t” in the shocking tirade on Saturday night.

Austin left Southampton after three years last summer to join Championship side West Brom on a two-year contract.

And there is clearly no love lost between the player and his former supporters.

Referencing a tweet about the dangers of social media, Austin wrote: “Couldn’t agree more it’s a f****** joke, gives people and companies a platform to say what they like without any remorse… think before you speak/tweet/post.”

But one user – who says he has a season ticket at St Mary’s – hit back: “Difficult to get behind a striker who couldn’t run five minutes without huffing and puffing Chaz! Big mouth for a man who accelerates slower than a 50 tonne lorry on an icy slope.

“Blame the club that paid your wages and supports your kids instead of yourself. WHAT A ROLE MODEL,” followed by a laughing emoji and a ‘middle finger’ hand sign.

Austin refused to let the comment slide and fired back: “Oh they didn’t support my kids you cheeky c***, I support my family so relax your comments about them! Fire them at me but not them!! I’m all for fan/player banter but your fan base is s***!!”

Another fan quote-tweeted Austin’s initial post and said: “Didn’t think when you insulted our whole fanbase and club did it tho chazza #Saintsfc”

And the English forward continues his furious rage and replied: “You’re s*** fans, you don’t sing to get behind the team, only when they score, never when they need a boost.”

One supporter replied: “Classy as ever Charlie.”

And Austin, who was unused sub for West Brom in the 2-2 draw at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, added: “Yes Jimmy as always. But is it true… yes it is.”

Finally, another vented: “You are on awful human being. Do u know how much money fans pay to watch the crap that we’ve watched at home the last few years? We’d always give support to a team that was giving 100% what does that say about u and your fellow players from that time?”

Austin simply replied with three crying emojis.

Most of his tweets have now been deleted.

The former Swindon, Burnley and QPR man – who started his career in non-league – was mocked in November 2018 after his furious interview rant at “ridiculous” refereeing was made into a brilliant Parklife remix.

Austin’s late strike for Saints against Watford was disallowed by referee Simon Hooper as Maya Yoshida was adjudged to have been offside.

The striker – who also last season was banned for two games for a two-fingered gesture towards Manchester City fans – fumed: “It’s ridiculous. We scored a perfectly good goal that was ruled out for offside.

“The officials cost us two points. They said it was offside, that is a joke.

“Sure there are many positives, we worked hard, we deserved three points and we would have got that had we not been let down by the official.

“We didn’t get beat but we should have gotten away with three points going into the international break.

“The performance was there, we can take that away and we should manage the game. I’m angry is what it is, we should have won 2-0.”
