Bayern ‘ready to let Jerome Boateng leave in summer’ amid Arsenal transfer links

JEROME BOATENG will be allowed to leave Bayern Munich in the summer amid Arsenal transfer links, reports claim.

Bayern have reportedly said they are prepared to let the central defender leave for approximately £12.8million.

The Germany international has made more than 300 appearances for Bayern and has won seven successive German title and the 2013 Champions League but feels his future is no longer with the club.

Boateng is looking to move away from the Bundesliga champions after falling out of favour this season.

In 2016 the 6ft 4in defender won Footballer of the Year in Germany but has only managed to star 26 games this campaign and will look to move for more regular action.

Benjamin Pavard and Niklas Sule have become the preferred defensive partnership, meaning a move for Boateng is essential if he wants more time on the pitch.

It is believed Arsenal are in pole position for signing the 31-year-old World Cup winner.
With Calum Chambers’ ACL injury, Arteta is looking for another defender to fill the hole.
