Joe Hart trolled for putting himself in transfer shop window live on BBC during Shrewsbury vs Liverpool

JOE HART has been slammed by fans after he used his live appearance on BBC to “beg” for a new club.

The struggling Burnley goalkeeper is desperately searching for a January transfer after falling behind Nick Pope in the pecking order.

He was in the BBC studio alongside Gary Lineker, Ian Wright and Alan Shearer in the studio for Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Shrewsbury.

And the 32-year-old cheekily took his chance to advertise his services to any interested clubs.

In the build-up to the game, Hart was asked about life as a No2 goalkeeper.

He said: “Awful. You just have to get on it. Football owes you nothing.

“I was speaking to Alan [Shearer] before and it is really fun on the way up.

“But when you get yourself in a position where you are not doing what you believe you can do or what you want to do is frustrating.

“With Adrian at Liverpool, they might play 60 games so it’s a different No2 to what I’m doing.”

Fellow pundit Shearer interrupted him as he said: “So you want to get out and play then?”

With a grin on his face, Hart replied: “Definitely.”

Lineker then helped Hart’s plea as he added: “And your contract is until the end of the season?”

The BBC presenter then clapped his hands as he shouted: “He’s available folks. You heard it here first.”

But fans hit back at Hart’s ambitious attempt to secure a move away from Turf Moor after he was snubbed for a move by AC Milan.

One said: “Joe Hart begging for a new club on BBC1.”

Another added: “Ahhh bless Joe Hart, twerking for a new club on the BBC.”

And one fan brutally commented: “Joe Hart on BBC talking about how he still thinks he has ability, shut your mouth.”

It was reported that his hunt for a new team has gone Stateside with the former England No1 in talks with MLS club Minnesota United.

And Aston Villa were reportedly considering a loan move for the Burnley outcast after losing Tom Heaton for the rest of the season.
