TYSON FURY is counting down the days until he can “beat up” Deontay Wilder again as the coronavirus pandemic rages on.

The WBC heavyweight boxing champ, like the rest of us, is on ‘lockdown’ as the Government tries to get a handle on the crisis.

Fury is scheduled to complete his trilogy against Wilder on July 18 in Las Vegas.

This will be five months after the Brit sensationally stopped him in the seventh round to hand the American his first ever pro defeat.

Wilder immediately accepted a rematch despite the one-sided beating, which Fury admitted left him “surprised”.

Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain, the Gypsy King said: “I’ll be obliged to give him a bit more, you never get bored of beating Deontay Wilder up, it’s just one of those things you take great pride in doing.

“I really did what I said I was going to do. Not many people in boxing say something then do exactly what they said they were going to do.

“So I was quite proud of the performance and I’m really looking forward to getting all this coronavirus out of the way and getting the world back on track and getting back to my job.”

Fury has urged the general public to follow Government guidelines during the coronavirus crisis, and has shared his own workouts on social media throughout.

Speaking about his time indoors with wife Paris and their five children in Morecambe, the 31-year-old said: “There’s positives to take out of every negative and the positive for me is that I get to spend a lot of time with my family and kids and doing family activities that I’d usually be too busy to do.

“It’s very special times to spend at home with the family, in a few months when this is all over and done we’ll look back at this and think ‘you know what, that was a good time we got to spend at home with our families’.

“So you can take a positive from every negative in life and I’m just trying to take a positive.”

EXERCISE IS VITAL

After once weighing in at 27st during his time out of boxing battling depression, Fury is not letting lockdown get in the way of keeping fit and healthy.

He added: “It’s difficult because I’m not allowed to go out to the gyms to train.

“However every morning I’ve been doing a workout video with the world live on Instagram. We do a 50 minute workout, it really helps.

‘”It helps me stay in shape, it’s helping many many people out there joining in from all over the world.

“I’m very very grateful that I can have an input in helping people with their fitness and mental health during these lockdown times.
