Fury wants ‘payback’ and vows to make Wilder ‘kiss the canvas’ as revenge for getting dropped twice in first fight

TYSON FURY has vowed to dish out the “payback” and make Deontay Wilder “kiss the canvas” in Saturday’s rematch as revenge for getting floored twice.

The Gypsy King sensationally rose from the mat twice back in December 2018 after being dropped by the Bronze Bomber to take the WBC title holder the distance during their epic draw.

With two more wins over Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin since, the 31-year-old now has another shot at the American in Las Vegas as he the lineal champ attempts to regain his heavyweight crown.

As usual before any fight, both warriors have promised to knockout the other, but Fury insists he is serious about putting Wilder to sleep early.

Speaking to Fight Hub, he said: “I think this rematch is a completely different fight.

“I’m looking for a knockout from the first bell, and I’m sure he will as well.

“I think it’ll be a quicker fight than it was. And I don’t see it lasting long.

“I just want to give him some payback and have him kiss the canvas a few times.”

During his three-year absence from the ring battling mental health issues the Morecambe-born star ballooned to 28 stone.

The star now says he is in the perfect fighting shape after shedding the bulk and promised his fans he could not be better prepared.

Fury said: “I’m not having no diet cokes, and not having a hundred coffees a day.

“I’m having it as serious as I can. I can’t prepare any better than I have.

“I’m getting to bed early, and waking up early. I’m eating the right foods, and drinking tons of water, and I’m having vitamins.

“I’ve got the right sparring partners. I’ve got the trainer. Everything is as it should be.

“I can’t remember having a fight where everything was going so well.”

He added: “The world is going to tune in to watch me and Deontay throw down.

“I don’t want anything left unturned after this fight of ‘what ifs,’ because we all know we’ve done everything we can do.

“We can’t prepare any more for a fight. There’s no more to be done.”
